Justin Kluivert is eyeing more playing opportunities at AS Roma after registering his first goal for the club
Despite making just two starts and three substitute appearances for Roma this season, Kluivert has made a positive start to life in Italy and found the net for his new club in their 5-0 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.
Now the 19-year-old winger intends to build on scoring his first goal by continuing to give coach Eusebio Di Francesco more reasons to select him.
“I’d like to play more games from the first minute and I hope it happens more often in the future,” Kluivert told Fox Sports.
“For now, I can’t complain, I feel like I’m growing so much and I feel good at Roma.
“I’m trying to come through, but I have great confidence in myself and I’m ready to show my worth.
“I know it’s easy to go from being a great talent to a player who risks not making it, but for me, it’s not a problem whatsoever. I have to keep proving myself.
“However, I know that sooner or later my time will come. I just have to keep training hard, like I’m already doing.”
Kluivert had been linked with moves to Barcelona and Manchester United in the summer before making a surprise switch to Roma.
