Former AC Milan midfielder Dejan Savicevic feels that Gonzalo Higuain is a better striker than Mauro Icardi as he provides more than goals

Next week on October 21 will see the first Derby della Madonnina of the season between Inter Milan and AC Milan in the Serie A.

And one key aspect of the game that fans are eagerly anticipating is the battle between the clubs’ two Argentine strikers in Icardi and Higuain.

“Icardi or Higuain are two different types of strikers,” Savicevic told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I prefer Pipita because he doesn’t only score but also participates in the game, assists his teammates and improves the whole group.

“Icardi is an extraordinary finisher, but the team must put themselves at his disposal. Is there enough ‘fantasy’ in this Milan? Of course.

Higuain has scored 115 goals in 182 Serie A games, while Icardi has managed to find the net 113 times across 196 appearances.
