Uruguay international Edinson Cavani, is not feeling as happy as he used to in previous seasons with Paris Saint-Germain.
Life in PSG is not turning out to be as fantastic for Edinson Cavani as it is for other top players like Neymar or Kylian Mbappé, the Uruguay international is not looking very comfortable in the squad and the numbers reflect this.
Despite having already scored 6 goals and given 3 assists so far in the season, there is something wrong with Edinson Cavani according to an analysis written by French journal L’Equipe this past weekend.
Last Sunday’s 5-0 victory against Olympique Lyonnais, was the perfect proof that Edinson Cavani is currently having a terrible time at the club as manager Thomas Tuchel decided to take him out of the game when Kimpempe was sent off.
The Uruguay international was nowhere to be seen after his club’s important victory against their most complicated opponent in Ligue 1.
But Cavani’s sadness goes further than only not being considered to finish the last match against Lyon, there are also the stats that L’Equipe broke down and talk about the player’s disconnect with both Neymar and Mbappé.
Edinson Cavani feels lonely and without support at PSG.

The Brazilian player has completely returned to his better form after the injury he suffered last season, this has given him the confidence he needed to create a killer duo with Kylian Mbappé, which is the player he connects with the most.
Neymar granted Kylian with 25% of his passes against Lyon, whereas the French youngster connected with the Brazilian in 31% of his passes.
Both of the players’ connections with Cavani are below what’s expected, with Neymar only giving him 0,5% of his passes, and Mbappé grating him with 5% of his passes during the match vs Lyon.
This is very alarming for Cavani, who in spite of having the same kind of numbers from last season at this point of the competition, is feeling very lonely now that friends of him like Javier Pastore, Giovani Lo Celso, and Yuri Berchiche left the club.
Those three players were Edinson’s best friends inside the club, which has left him completely isolated from the rest of his teammates.
There have even been moments during the season, in which you don’t usually see the striker celebrating his own goals.

Possible options for Cavani to leave
Edinson Cavani is arguably among the best strikers in the world, he is already the club’s all-time top goal-scorer and it may be time for him to think about going to a new destination to finish his career.
It is still time for Cavani to look to new destinations while he is still in top form, because he may only have a few years at his best now that he is 31 years old.
Being from Uruguay gives Edinson a certain endurance that other players from different nationalities may not have, Uruguay internationals are well-known for performing their best football after they turn 30 and Cavani should be no exception. The question here is which club could give him an opportunity?
The most obvious choice for the striker could be Italy without a doubt, Napoli is where his best moments in Serie A took place, Carlo Ancelotti would certainly welcome a player like Cavani to his squad and would make very good use of his talents now that he is coaching the club.
Other destinations could be English football or Atletico Madrid with Diego Simeone, but there is still time from now until the summer to make a decision because PSG doesn’t look like a great place for him anymore.
