Real Madrid have received a welcome boost in the news that Marcelo is nearing his comeback
The Brazilian full-back has been on the sidelines for Los Blancos since last month’s 3-0 defeat at Sevilla in La Liga with a muscular injury.
In Marcelo’s absence, Real have since drawn one game and lost the other two across all competitions.
After being withdrawn from the Brazil squad for the friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Argentina, Marcelo has reported back to training at Real’s training ground in Valdebebas.
“I feel fine, I’m almost at 100 per cent,” said Marcelo, according to AS.
“I’m training well. It’s the second day I trained with the ball, but I’m happy with my progress.
“The international break is good for me to be at the top for the next game.”
Real will next face Levante in La Liga on October 20 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
