Anthony Martial’s equalising goal in Manchester United’s comeback win against Newcastle United cost the club €10m

After falling two goals down early on, Jose Mourinho’s produced an excellent second-half comeback.

Spanish midfielder Juan Mata got things started at Old Trafford with a wonderful free-kick before Martial scored probably one of football’s most expensive ever equalisers in the 76th-minute.

The 22-year-old forward has now managed 25 goals for United with the Telegraph reporting that the landmark has triggered a new clause in United’s deal with AS Monaco.

The Red Devils signed Martial from Monaco in September 2015 for an initial £36m with a clause included that entitles the French club to another €10m (£8.73m) if the striker scores 25 times.

The final transfer fee for Martial has now risen to a staggering £44.73m.

Alexis Sanchez came off the bench to net the match-winner for United to end their four-game winless run.
