Paris Saint-Germain will have to make do without Presnel Kimpembe for their Classique clash with Marseille in Ligue 1

The 23-year-old defender was shown a straight red card, following a VAR review, in PSG’s 5-0 win over Lyon after a challenge on Tanguy Ndombele.

Now the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) have announced on their website that Kimpembe will serve a three-game ban due to his sending off.

It means that Kimpembe will miss PSG’s Classique against rivals Marseille on October 28, along with their games against Amiens and Lille.

The LPF also handed a five-match ban for AS Monaco defender Andrea Raggi following his clash with Rennes’ Clement Grenier in a recent game.

The 34-year-old Italian shoved his hand into Grenier’s face and his absence will likely only increase the pressure already on Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim.

Last season’s Ligue 1 runners-up are 18th in Ligue 1 with just one win in nine games.
