Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has been discussing his opinions after the club’s 2-0 win over Valencia on Saturday night.

The Los Blancos banished memories of their 3-0 loss to Eibar last week in the LaLiga with a win over Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The European champions have goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to thank for making a string of fine saves to protect the team’s lead.

“It was a match in which, especially in the first half, we have been very good,” Carvajal added, according to Goal.

“I think it was one of the best of the season.”

“And then if it is true that we have struggled to close the game because Valencia have also awakened and made things very difficult for us.”

“Without the fans we are nobody and yes, it is true, that these last months we are not giving what they deserve and that is why we show our affection and try to give every victory we get.”

The win continued Solari’s fine start to life as manager of the Spanish giants, with the former Argentine international now having won six out of seven games since taking charge of the team in October.

The result sees Madrid move up to fifth position, level on points with fourth-placed Deportivo Alaves and three points behind league leaders Sevilla.
