Germany manager Joachim Low has no plans to make any further attempts in contacting Mesut Ozil again

The 30-year-old playmaker announced his international retirement in the summer after receiving the brunt of the blame for Germany’s group stage exit at the World Cup.

Ozil cited a lack of support from the German Football Federation (DFB) for the racism and discrimination he suffered for his Turkish ancestry from the supporters.

Things between Ozil and Low also reached a low point afterwards with the latter making several attempts to speak to him.

Ozil then failed to show up at Arsenal’s training base in September, when Low came to visit former Germany defender and new academy boss Per Mertesacker.

“No, at the moment, I don’t have any plans to do so,” Low told Sport Bild on whether he intends to make contact with Ozil again.

Ozil is currently a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Old Trafford tonight in the Premier League against Manchester United due to a back injury.
