Danny Welbeck’s time at Arsenal looks set to come to an end this summer once his contract expires

The English striker has had an injury-plagued four years at Arsenal following his £16m transfer from Manchester United.

Despite the problems though, Welbeck has still managed 32 goals and 15 assists in 126 appearances.

But, in light of a new long-term ankle injury from last month’s Europa League clash with Sporting Lisbon, Welbeck’s time at the Emirates Stadium looks set to come to an end.

Sky Sports reports that Arsenal have no plans to offer Welbeck an extension on his expiring deal – which means he may well have already played his last game for the club.

The 27-year-old will be free to sign with a foreign club in January and previously attracted the interest of Turkish giants Galatasaray in August.

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey is another who looks set to leave Arsenal in the summer on a free transfer.

Like Welbeck, Ramsey looks set to receive no new contract after manager Unai Emery confirmed on Tuesday that negotiations remained closed.
