Zlatan Ibrahimovic and AC Milan are reportedly at an advanced stage in negotiations over a return for the Swedish superstar

At the age of 37, Ibrahimovic is still going strong following an impressive debut campaign in the MLS with LA Galaxy.

The former Manchester United striker’s exploits in America saw him crowned the MLS Newcomer of the Year after managing 22 goals and seven assists in 26 games.

However, due to Galaxy’s failure to reach the MLS playoffs, Ibrahimovic confessed last month he is unsure what his future holds.

The Swede had been expected to remain at Galaxy for another 12 months, but rumours over a second spell with Milan have only grown.

The Rossoneri coach Gennaro Gattuso and club director Paolo Maldini have refused to rule out a move for him.

Now Goal claims that talks between Milan and Ibrahimovic have progressed and that an announcement could be made within the upcoming days.

Ibrahimovic managed 56 goals and 24 assists in 85 appearances across all competitions for Milan between 2010 to 2012.
