Former United legend Paul Ince, also agrees that Jose Mourinho did well to drop Paul Pogba from Manchester United’s starting eleven.

The future looks bleaker and bleaker for Paul Pogba at Manchester United, as manager Jose Mourinho finally made the decision to drop him against Arsenal and he got applauded by the likes of Paul Ince or even Paul Scholes.

These two people are amongst Jose Mourinho’s fiercest critics since the Portuguese manager took control of the squad, but they both agreed that the French midfielder hasn’t been performing at the top of his game this season and the latest falling out they had was the last chance for the player to fall back in line for the manager.

Because it’s not just the disagreement he is having with the boss that affects Paul Pogba, it is also the increasingly bad relationship he keeps having with the fans who don’t agree with the way in which he conducts himself.

The people have already caught wind of his attitude, and Mourinho’s biggest critics have as well. This week after the Arsenal match at Old Trafford, we heard Paul Scholes supporting Mourinho’s decision to leave Pogba on the bench and today it was Ince’s turn.

“It feels like every time I speak about Man United, it’s about Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku. I’m getting bored of them both,” wrote Ince on Paddy Power.

“Against Arsenal, the game was quite exciting and fun – which is rare for United at the minute – until those two came on the pitch.”

“It wasn’t necessarily top-class football on display, but it was enjoyable, and that’s all the fans wanted.”

“The big decision for Jose Mourinho now is whether he keeps the same side for the Fulham game.”

“He keeps chopping and changing it, and I can see why. He did the right thing in dropping Pogba and Lukaku, they don’t seem remotely interested, and they’re just not good enough.”

“When it comes to Pogba, it’s just another drama, another chapter in the life of him. He was atrocious against Southampton and didn’t deserve to be picked for a game like Arsenal.”

“It’s all well and good him moaning off the pitch, but the fact is, he’s doing nothing to deserve a place in the side. Pogba’s supposed to be world class, but he looks bang average.”

“If he thinks his place is to come on the pitch and do stupid little flicks and tricks which lead to them losing the ball – he’s an idiot.”

“You can blame Jose Mourinho for some things, but you can’t blame him for everything. Pogba doesn’t help him himself, and he’s right to be dropped,” he added.

The upcoming match against Fulham should be more than enough for everybody to really know if Jose Mourinho will drop Pogba on a permanent basis or not, the player could leave the club if he doesn’t see himself as part of the last games of 2018 and clubs like Barcelona are already waiting for the other shoe to drop.

This situation is most unfortunate for Pogba himself, as he had always expected to become one of Manchester United’s legends since he started playing for the Red Devils when he was only a teenager.

Unfortunately for this Paul, the other two most important Pauls don’t even seem to like him and he will have a very difficult time trying to win them over.

It isn’t late for Pogba yet, he can still get back in his game but he has a very complicated next few months ahead if he wants to stay in the club.

Mourinho has already taken the advantage in their particular battle, but the war is not lost yet.
