Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has blasted his team following their 1-1 draw with Strasbourg in the French league on Wednesday night.
Edinson Cavani earned a point for the champions with a second-half penalty after Kenny Lala’s penalty kick before the end of first half gave Strasbourg a surprise lead.
Thomas Tuchel’s men extended their unbeaten league start to 16 games this season, but have failed to win back-to-back Ligue 1 games since their important victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League last Wednesday.
“I cannot expect from my players the same state of mind as against Liverpool,” Tuchel said, according to Sports Mole.
“We showed a good spirit in Bordeaux (on Sunday) and today we attacked and defended together.”
PSG’s failure to convert any of their many chances in the first half came back to haunt them as Strasbourg took the lead through Lala’s 40th-minute penalty.
German defender Thilo Kehrer was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area and after the incident was referred to the use of VAR, Lala converted the spot-kick
Le Parisiens went in search of the equaliser as soon as the second half kicked off, but met with stubborn resistance by Strasbourg before Cavani’s goal ensured they took a share of the spoils.
