Levante coach Paco Lopez says his side are not afraid of reigning LA Liga Champions Barcelona.

Paco Lopez’ men are hugely touted to meet Barcelona both in the league and Copa del Rey but the gaffer insists his players will do their job on the pitch without fear.

“The league is the real reality for us and in the cup, we have been handed the most difficult opponent, along with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid,” he told reporters as published by Marca.

“But we will face it with the same enthusiasm we would for any other rival.

“Managing to surprise Barcelona is something very few teams achieve each year and you can count on the fingers of one hand how often it happens.

“It takes a special set of circumstances, like against Madrid, and you must reach your maximum potential as a team.

“If we can show our identity and implement our plan then we will have a better chance of winning.

“We aren’t afraid of playing against Barcelona.”
