Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly planning a shock move to sign Jordi Alba from Barcelona.
The Bianconeri are understood to be hopeful of convincing the Spain international of a move to Turin, according to Sports Mole.
Alba will see his current deal with Barcelona expire in the summer of 2020, and talks are yet to start on a new one.
The former Valencia left-back has scored twice and provided nine assists in 24 matches for the Catalan club this season and has made 270 appearances for the Spanish champions in total since joining them in the summer of 2012.
Towards the end of 2018, Alba revealed that he was ‘disappointed with Barcelona’ for failing to offer him a new contract, creating speculation the 29-year-old is considering his future at the club.
Juventus are closely monitoring developments surrounding the Spaniard’s future and the Serie A champions are keen on bringing him to Turin.
Manchester City and Manchester United are also rumored to be monitoring Alba’s situation at the Camp Nou, with a view to move this summer or in the summer of 2020 when he becomes a free agent.
