Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he’s planning to rotate his backline ahead of their tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Reds’ travel to the Molineux to face Wolves with only two fit first team central defenders in Dejan Lovren and Virgil Van Dijk.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss is considering whether to name highly-rated 16-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever in his squad as Joe Gomez and Joel Matip still out in injury. Reports in the UK also revealed that academy defender Conor Masterson trained with the first team on Friday.
“We need to be creative or we play the two again. We will see what we do,” Klopp said, according to ESPN.
“We will not sign a centre-half for one game or whatever, that will not happen.”
“Joe and Joel look good, but obviously not good enough for Monday and probably not for Brighton. Hopefully, after that, they are in full team training.”
