Bayern Munich has confirmed their interest in signing Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid, according to sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
The German champions have already completed the signing of Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart this month, with the France international expected to join the club in the summer.
Bayern also has Chelsea and England youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi on their radar and have submitted a third offer in the region of £35million for the 18-year-old.
The signing of Pavard doesn’t mean the Bavarians don’t also want to sign the fellow Frenchman Lucas Hernandez.
“[Lucas Hernandez] is an interesting player who plays at Atletico Madrid, but there is nothing concrete to report as we have to see if the move is possible,” Salihamidzic said, according to Marca.
Bayern are reportedly willing to meet the defender’s buyout clause, while Atleti boss Diego Simeone indicated that Hernandez is a vital part of his team.
