After thrashing Burton 9-0, Manchester City striker Oleksandr Zinchenko claims that he planned to blast Burton’s net with a long-range strike in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at the Etihad.

Zinchenko carefully rejected claims suggesting that his goal was accidental and then went on to praise the team’s dominion during the game despite knowing that beating Burton was going to be a walk in the park for his team.

“Was my goal a cross!? A little respect please!,” he joked as stated in club’s official website

“It’s the first time I’ve played in a win like this. To be fair we scored a lot of goals, we wanted more, and our fans did too.

Brazilian Gabriel Jesus also proved himself with four goals while Kevin De Bruyne, Oleks Zinchenko, Riyad Mahrez, Kyle Walker and Phil Foden the rest of the five goals.
