Patrick Cutrone was delighted to play a pivotal role with his brace as AC Milan beat Sampdoria to book a place in the Coppa Italia quarter-final.

Cutrone came off the bench in the extra time and settled the fans nerves with two splendid volleys on assists from Andrea Conti and Hakan Calhanoglu.

“I am very happy, above all that we got through to the next round. I’m glad to have been helpful to my teammates,” Cutrone told Football Italia via Rai Sport.

The Rossoneri will face Napoli or Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia quarter-final.

However, on Wednesday they will take on Juventus in Jeddah for the Italian Super Cup.
