– After 22 years there is so much to say and so many people to thank at this great football club. From coaches, team-mates and staff to the fans who have given me so much support down the years, I can’t thank you enough. There will be opportunities for me to speak further about this over the coming weeks.
The 26-year-old defender is not a vital part of the actual squad anymore. As for now, John Terry has just played 5 out of 32 games in the Premier League, but the loss Terry leaves behind as a culture bearer seems enormous for the London-club.
The legend, John Terry, has four Premier League-titles with Chelsea alongside with five FA Cups and one Champions League-trophy.
The big defender has played 718 mathes since his debut in 1998, with the captaincy in tremendous 578 matches. There is a number of possible heirs to the position after John Terry, with Thibaut Courtois, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic as possible contendants to do this.
