Having passed the Financial Fair Play requirements, Paris Saint-Germain are facing a very busy summer, in order to forget the disastrous season that they had, losing the Ligue 1 title to Monaco and being knocked out in the Champions League round of 16.
The Spanish press estimates that the French club is ready to spend between €150m – €200m and state that their main target is Neymar.
The Brazilian star has a release clause of €200m at Camp Nou, and in order to persuade him, the French club would be ready to offer him annual wages of €25m.
PSG will be looking to reduce the cost of the transfer fee, by including in the deal players that Barcelona have shown interest in. The Catalans have long been monitoring Marco Verratti and Marquinhos.
Taking into account the €80m valuation of Verratti by the French club, there is the option of a historical swap between the two clubs. PSG would then offer Verratti and a sum in excess of €100m to Barcelona for Neymar.
This deal would also mean a big hit for Real Madrid, who are also interested in the Italian midfielder and were ready to submit a bid for him.
Neymar has scored 19 goals and registered 25 assists for Barcelona this season in all competitions.
