Pogba out for Everton game insists Mourinho

The Red Devils midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the Champions League game against Basel on Tuesday.

Paul Pogba will not recover on time to play against Everton on Sunday, according to Jose Mourinho. The France international was forced to leave the pitch early in the first game of the Champions League for Manchester United. United’s skipper obviously has issues with his hamstring and was replaced by Marouane Fellani in the 19th minute. While the medical staff of the Red Devils is yet to come out with an official statement regarding the severity of the injury, Red Devils boss Mourinho completely ruled out the possibility of playing Pogba on Sunday.

“I haven’t spoken to Paul Pogba or the medical staff yet,” Mourinho told reporters at the final whistle, according to Goal.

“I don’t cry about injuries. No Paul for Sunday.

“I just know from experience it’s a muscular injury. In my experience, muscular injury stops you from playing for a few weeks, I think.”
