PSG have been working hard on securing the signature of Alexis Sanchez, whose contract with Arsenal will expire in the summer.

More and more rumours suggest that the Chilean forward will sign with PSG in January, when he will be able to do so because he will enter the last six months of his contract.

PSG are planning to sell Edinson Cavani, in order to make room for Sanchez in the team. Furthermore, the sale of Cavani will also help the Parisians getting one step close to the FFP regulations compliance.

PSG made the most expensive transfer in football history this summer, when they bought Neymar from Barcelona, for €222m. And on top of his wage demands, the Brazilian had another wish towards the officials of PSG. According to Le Parisien, Neymar handed PSG a transfer wish list with players that he would like to play alongside with at Parc des Princes.

One of the players on Neymar’s wish list is his former Barcelona teammate, Alexis Sanchez. The two forwards played together for the Catalans and are said to have remained good friends from that period. PSG tried to sign Alexis Sanchez in the summer, but negotiations stalled and were eventually stopped when the Parisians realised that they have a real possibility of signing Kylian Mbappe.

However, now that the contractual situation of Sanchez allows it, PSG will push for the transfer of the Chilean. The Parisians will have to fight with Manchester City for the signature of Alexis, as Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he would like to be reunited with his former player.

Arsenal will be looking to cash-in on the player, in order to avoid losing him for free next summer and although Wenger does not want to let the player go to another Premier League rival, the highest bid will probably win in January.
