Julian Draxler is certain that his teammate Neymar deserves fully his privileged position in the team as he was criticized for having a lot of advantages from his bosses – the German thinks that it’s all well-deserved.
There were a couple of rumours saying that Neymar’s relationships with Unai Emery and Edinson Cavani were broken for good but Julian Draxler said that everything is fine in PSG and Neymar was given just the position that he deserves. Neymar was also linked with an early transfer somewhere else as he is said to be unhappy in Paris but these speculations are not true, according to Draxler.
The Germany international spoke about the situation of Neymar as he said, according to ESPN: “There was the story of the penalty with Edinson, which was settled after one or two days. However, everybody else kept talking about it for four or five weeks afterwards. I believe that this is part and parcel of life as a superstar like Neymar. A lot of incorrect things are said about him. He is a young man, full of respect, who knows how important he is to the team.”
The former Schalke player also added that the atmosphere in the club is good: “It is for this reason that he gets a few privileges. Perhaps he also demanded them, I do not know. However, a player like him has the right to do that. The other players are not jealous or angry about this.”
Draxler also spoke about himself being linked with a potential transfer to Bayern Munich: “I am not thinking about leaving the club in winter or even in the summer. I am right in the middle of the season with PSG and solely concentrating on our big targets. Now is not the relevant time to think about my immediate or near future.”
