Claude Puel insisted that he is very happy with his side’s attitude as Riyad Mahrez’s late freekick gained a point for the Foxes against Bournemouth at home in a thrilling fixture.

The Cherries were leading from the 35th minute as Josh King converted a penalty and the home side were trailing for the majority of the game – however, the Algerian star stepped up for the free-kick and he scored the late equalizer.

The former Southampton coach spoke about his side’s effort as he said, according to Sky Sports:

“This moment is tough for us, we have dropped a lot of points at home and it was another game without good reward.”

“We started the game well with good intensity, tempo, desire, pressing. But the injury to Daniel Amartey changed our game and system a little and perhaps it was not a good option that we conceded a goal.”

“But on the good play it was not too bad with a good mentality, pressing and quality and we came back in the second half with the same conviction and desire.”
