AS Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has revealed that he will be open to considering offers for Thomas Lemar in the upcoming summer transfer window
The midfielder was on the verge of completing a £92m transfer to Arsenal last summer, before Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester City fell through and caused Lemar’s transfer to the Emirates to be cancelled.
Lemar has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool over the course of this season with Jurgen Klopp believed to see the 22 year-old as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho, although Monaco have been reluctant to sell any more of their star players after the departures of Kylian Mbappe and Benjamin Mendy last summer.
But in an interview with Telefoot, Vasilyev has revealed that the Ligue 1 club are now willing to consider offers for Lemar: “Good luck to those who want him.”
The France international has previously confessed his disappointment at last summer’s failed transfer to the Premier League.
“I’m not going to hide it, I was a little disappointed. I try not to think about it.” admitted Lemar, according to TeamTalk.
“I’ve kept working so that these clubs come back during the next transfer window.
“My future? I am open to everything. I love all the different leagues.”
Lemar has failed to replicate the kind of performances he had shown last season at Monaco and has only scored three goals in his 29 appearances in all competitions this season.
