Gonzalo Higuain has been named Juventus’ MVP of the Year for the second year in a row after another impressive campaign for the club

The Argentine forward joined the Bianconeri from rivals Napoli in the summer of 2016 for a €90m deal in what was the highest ever transfer paid by an Italian club.

Higuain has scored 23 goals for Juventus in his 48 appearances this season as the club won their seventh consecutive Serie A crown along with their fourth successive domestic double after defeating AC Milan 4-0 in this month’s Coppa Italia final.

Pipita scored some crucial goals for his side with a notable double away to Milan, a strike against his former club Napoli at the San Paolo Stadium in what was Juventus’ only effort on goal throughout the entire 90 minutes and when he played a role in four of their goals against Tottenham in the Champions League.

The club website has reported that Higuain will receive his MVP of the Year award in Juventus’ final game of the season on Saturday against the relegated Hellas Verona.
