Watford boss Javi Gracia discusses new signings and preseason preparations, according to Harrow times. Gracia has been discussing the club’s new signings, preseason preparations and plans for the new season.
Gracia has revealed he is happy with the group of players the club have assembled so far and it’s up to him to build them into a great team for next season.
Watford have been very busy in this transfer window so far adding six players to their squad already as they look to improve on last season’s disappointing campaign in the Premier League.
The Hornets have added Ken Sema, Ben Foster, Marc Navarro, Adam Masina and Ben Wilmot to their playing squad as well as the loan move for Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu a permanent one.
“You can see from the first day that they’ve adapted quickly and are all speaking together. We have got a great group of players, and now it’s up to the coaching staff to build a team from here,” Gracia told the club’s YouTube channel.
Watford have resumed preseason training since the start of the month and Gracia believes this period is very important for the club as they look to prepare for ten months of Premier League football.
“Now it’s our time to train, when you start playing everything moves so fast and you do not have the opportunity to improve on things.” Javi Gracia said.
“It is time to show the players what is important and to implement good values. We have got the time and we’ll do that now.”
The Hornets will leave for preseason training camp in Austria next week as they continue preparations towards the upcoming season.
Watford begin their Premier League campaign against Brighton & Hove Albion on August 11.
