Jose Mourinho has given Barcelona and Juventus hope of signing Paul Pogba this summer.
Paul Pogba who was an important member of the 23-man French squad at the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia is attracting interest from Barcelona and former club Juventus.
The midfielder was immense at the tournament for his nation as France became world champions for only the second time in their history.
Fans and pundits alike are hopeful the Frenchman can turn out the same level of performance when he gets back to Manchester United. But it looks like there might just be a slight chance of him leaving the club this summer.
Mourinho confirmed Antonio Valencia as club captain at the post-match conference after United’s 1-1 draw with Club America on Friday morning.
“If Valencia plays he’s the captain. If not it could be Smalling, Young, Mata or Herrera.” Jose told reporters, according to Calciomercato.
“Matic would be a good captain but he only arrived a year ago. I’m not particular about the captain, I’m concerned about leaders and characters in the dressing room.”
Barcelona are in search of a replacement for the already departed Andres Iniesta and are believed to be monitoring the Pogba situation at United.
Juventus will have to sell a few players to bring the Frenchman back to Turin after they spent almost a £100million on Cristiano Ronaldo.
