Real Madrid full-back Theo Hernandez is set to complete his loan move to Real Sociedad today, claims Marca

The European champions only signed Hernandez from city rivals Atletico Madrid last summer after the Spaniard made a positive impression on them during his loan stint with Alaves.

But, unlike his predecessor, Zinedine Zidane, new Real boss Julen Lopetegui is not quite as keen on Hernandez and is willing to allow the left-back to leave before the end of the transfer window deadline in August.

Now a move to fellow La Liga side Sociedad appears to be imminent with Hernandez having arrived at San Sebastian on Thursday.

The 20-year-old arrived despite the delay at Madrid Barajas Airport, where technical problems forced him to cancel the flight and instead drive to the Basque city.

Hernandez will now undergo a medical and confirmation of his loan move is expected later today.

Hernandez made a total of 23 appearances in all competitions for Real last season.
