Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi has agreed personal terms with AS Roma as he looks to force through a move out of Seville, according to Mirror Football.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to the Emirates to reunite with former Sevilla boss Unai Emery while Manchester City were also keeping tabs on him as a possible cover for Fernandinho. N’Zonzi is keen to leave Sevilla before the August 31 deadline and has reportedly agreed terms of a contract with the Giallorossi.
Both clubs are yet to agree over a transfer fee but it is believed that Sevilla are holding out for a £30million deal. The Andalusian side don’t want the player to leave the club who still has two years on his current contract but they are now resigned to letting him go for the right price.
N’Zonzi did not feature for Sevilla in their 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana on Sunday night in Morocco.
The former Stoke midfield player is already a World Cup winner having been a part of the France squad that lifted the trophy this summer in Russia, featuring in three of their seven games played at the tournament.
