Juventus are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Alexandre Lacazette by offering Arsenal a choice out of three options in a player-plus-cash deal.
Lacazette has been in and out of the Arsenal squad since Mikel Arteta replaced Unai Emery last December, leading to talk of a surprise switch to Juventus.
The Serie A champions, who recently replaced their own manager Maurizio Sarri with Andrea Pirlo, are on the prowl for new attacking talent and are keen on Lacazette.
Reports suggest the Frenchman will be one of NINE players to leave Arsenal this summer as the club seek to reduce their wage bill and provide Mikel Arteta with transfer funds.
According to The Athletic, Juventus would be happy to take Lacazette off their hands. The Bianconeri are so keen, in fact, they’re willing to offer a player to sweeten the deal.
The alleged three choices available to Arsenal are Gonzalo Higuain, Douglas Costa, Cristian Romero.
The most attractive option is undoubtedly Costa, who Arteta finds appealing. However, he is also the most unlikely one out of three to head to London.
Higuain, on the other hand, is past his best days and didn’t fare well with London rivals Chelsea in 2018/19 either. That leaves Romero as the most likely option.
The 22-year-old Argentine, who is on loan at Genoa until the end of this month, will be able to help reinforce the Arsenal defense ahead of next season.
