Football has resumed amidst much fanfare but some players do not want to lineup for their respective teams no matter what the conditions.
The Covid-19 pandemic brought an unceremonious halt to sporting activities. Bundesliga was the first to return with rest of Europe’s leagues following suit.
Out of the top-5 leagues, only the Ligue 1 came to a premature halt. They were joined by the Belgian Jupiler Pro League and Dutch Eredivisie.
Players were understandably reluctant to return to action. Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante took some time to asses the situation and returned a week late than his teammates.
But as we witness football playing behind closed doors with only essential staff in presence, some players have shown an indifference attitude. They do not seem to care about their clubs and continuing to punch in and punch out, out of habit.
