Jeremie Boga is proving at Sassuolo what he is made off and it is a timely reminder for Premier League onlookers to sign him at the earliest.
Sassuolo would be counting their luck given Jeremie Boga’s impressive performances. The €3 million signing from Chelsea is expected to fetch at least 10 times that in the current transfer window.
Boga has scored 11 goals from open play, he does not have penalty kick responsibilities, that lie at the shoulders of Domenic Berardi. However, if Boga was to convert the penalties he earned, his goal tally would be higher.
Boga finished last season with the most dribbles (82) in Serie A. In 2019/20, he has bettered that tally by 33 and there are 8 games left to play. He has left everyone in the shadow and improving with every competitive appearance.
Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him. Here are three clubs where he would seamlessly adapt at.
Liverpool have won the Premier League title and they have a lot to content do. Everything is not as rosy as it is made out to be. Divock Origi wants to leave, and Sadio Mane is having his head turned around. Moreover, Xherdan Shaqiri does not like his fringe role.
The Reds have Takumi Minamino and with the addition of Jeremie Boga, they can add another excellent player to their ranks.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang wants a bumper new contract or he leaves for pastures new. The Gunners should not be held hostage again and get in a situation akin to Mesut Ozil. They should look at Boga to take over from the Gabon captain.
Boga has similar responsibilities as Aubameyang at Sassuolo and can supplement the squad with his additions. Moreover, he will be a cheaper acquisition who can line-up for years to come.
Apparently, Arsenal realize that and have tabled a bid for the inside-left forward.
Losing Leroy Sane is a tough blow. Especially when you have great plans for a player of his age. His departure to Bayern Munich has thrown a spanner in the works at the Etihad Stadium. Boga can bring that energy back.
Boga does not have the same physical attributes to the departed Sane but is more efficient in getting away from his marker. He has the pace to get behind defense and his dribbling skills are of the highest order.
Pep Guardiola can turn him into a world class player, something he did with Sane and Sterling in Premier League before. Chelsea’s loss can be Manchester City’s gain again.
