After forming part of a Ligue 1-winning side with Eden Hazard at LOSC Lille, Gervinho decided to complete a €12m transfer to Arsenal in 2011 to replace Samir Nasri.
Unfortunately, the Ivorian never hit his stride in north London and struggled to make an impact in the Gunners attack.
That dreadful open-goal howler against Bradford City will last long in the memory of Arsenal supporters.
Eventually, Gervinho left for AS Roma in 2013 for the next three years of his career before he took-up a big-money to China.
He returned to the Serie A in 2018 to help the newly-promoted Parma’s charge.
