Follows in Pele’s footsteps
After winning a treble in his debut campaign for PSG in 2017/18, Mbappe was on cloud nine.
The teenager had already won everything in his homeland and performed strongly alongside new team-mate Neymar. In fact, there were already suggestions that he was PSG’s main man.
But Mbappe saved his best for the last by starring in Russia to help France win the 2018 World Cup.
Outshining Lionel Messi in the knockouts was huge, but scoring in the final itself against Croatia was out of this world.
It meant Mbappe had become only the second teenager in history to score in a World Cup final after Brazilian legend Pele.
