Manchester City – 2013/14
Yep, it’s them again.
This time around it was Liverpool in the lead, and seemingly on course for a first league title since 1990.
The Reds had built-up a comfortable five-point lead over City with just three games left to play. To the utter disbelief of the Anfield faithful, however, they blew it in shocking fashion.
First came a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea before Liverpool blew a three-goal lead at Crystal Palace to draw. It ultimately cost them big time as Manchester City pipped them to the league title by just two points.
Therefore, Manuel Pelligrini’s won one of the closest Premier League title battles in recent history.
While Jamie Carragher still blames former team-mate Luis Suarez to this day.
