The Italian Serie A is going to be a really competitive league this season and on the opening day of the season, we witnessed a few performances that cannot be ignored. The likes of Juventus, Napoli and Internazionale picked up crucial points.

Jesse Joronen

The Finland international is a newcomer to the Italian Serie A. The goalkeeper signed for Brescia earlier in the summer but has already shown that he is going to become a stalwart in Italy. On the opening day of the season, Brescia managed to down Cagliari in a game they were expected to lose.

A lot of this goes down to the fact that their new signing was in great form and was making saves left, right and center. Two decisive saves from the likes of Joao Pedro and Artur Ionita ensured his new team of three points on the opening day.
