As the calendar year comes to a close, we take a look at some of the most remarkable personal milestones reached by CR7 in 2020.

1. Most goals for Juventus in a single season

Ronaldo reached the tally of 37 goals across all competitions in the prolonged 2019/20 season. No player in the Bianconeri’s history has notched up as many goals in a season.

31 of those strikes came in the league, and the Portuguese forward also equaled Felice Bore’s 86-year-old record of most goals in a Serie A campaign.

2. First player to score 30+ goals in a single season in three of Europe’s top 5 leagues

Two of the most prominent qualities of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is consistency and the intense desire to keep performing at the top level.

He first reached the 30-goal mark back in 2007-08 while at Manchester United and he has maintained that level ever since. After being a reliable source of goals for Man United and becoming the world’s best goalscorer at Real Madrid, he continues to lead the line for Juve late in his career.

CR7 did hit at least 30 goals in a season in eight seasons.

3. First player to hit double digits in 16 consecutive seasons

Ronaldo is simply synonymous with reliability. This record is the one that proves the word complacency doesn’t exist in the 35-year-old’s vocabulary.

CR7 has already scored 16 goals in his first 13 games so far, and this season is the 16th one in which he has scored at least 10 goals.

He is also the only player to score in one of Europe’s top five leagues in each of the last 18 years.

4. Fastest player to reach 50 goals in Serie A

A handful of fans questioned Juve’s decision to spend €100 million for a 33-year-old Ronaldo in 2018 but those well aware of his capabilities knew that age cannot stop the living legend.

The Juve No.7 scored 21 league goals in the first season and 31 in the second while becoming the fastest player to hit 50 Serie A goals in just 61 games.

5. First player to score 50+ goals in the Serie A, La Liga, and Premier League

Scoring 50 goals for a club is a noteworthy achievement for a player. And Ronaldo has reached that number with three different clubs in three different leagues.

6. First player to score in 11 consecutive matches in three different competitions

In 2019/20, the Juve talisman became one of the only three players to score in 11 straight Serie A games alongside Rui Costa and Gabriel Batistuta.

He has also reached a similar goalscoring streak in La Liga as well as the UEFA Champions League.

7. First European player to reach 100 international goals

The Portugal captain hit a century of goals for his national side earlier this year, becoming the only player to reach the 100-goal mark for a European nation in international football.
