Mesut Ozil was nowhere to be seen when Arsenal took on Chelsea in the FA Cup final, and his absence has been branded selfish by club legend Perry Groves.
Mesut Ozil was nowhere to be seen at Wembley Stadium when Arsenal took on Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
However, in such an important and prestigious event for his team, his attendance was warranted. Even if it meant sitting in the stands as a spectator and a voice of support for the club that is paying you over £300,000 per week.
He did take to social media to congratulate his fellow Gunners.
But his absence has not gone unnoticed by former player Perry Groves, who is far from impressed with Ozil.
Speaking to Talk Sport,
“That just sums him up all over. He’s not bothered about Arsenal, he’s just bothered about himself.”
“I wouldn’t want my teammates to think that I was that selfish. So it just means that he knows he’s done with Arsenal.”
“If I was his teammate I wouldn’t even… Don’t text or WhatsApp me, do you know what I mean?”
“If you’re not really bothered, don’t pretend you are.”
Is this the end for Mesut Ozil at Arsenal?
