AC Milan wants to keep the core of their high performing side at San Siro and are in talks with Ibrahimovic, Donnarumma  and Calhanoglu.

After giving Stefano Pioli a contract extension, AC Milan are working to keep first-team regulars.

Sporting Director, Ricky Massara, wants to sort out the futures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Zlatan’s contract ends at the end of the campaign, while Donnarumma has one-year left on his current deal.

Massara hailed Zlatan for his performances and commented that it is remarkable to see him perform at this level.

“We are talking to Mino Raiola and trying to do it behind the scenes, even if it’s difficult to keep anything from the media nowadays,” Massara was quoted by Football Italia.

“There are issues that we will evaluate together, including Ibra’s spirit and desire to continue this wonderful adventure, which has been so positive in the second half of the season.

“We are all happy, first and foremost Ibra, that he’s been able to prove his value to Milan all over again.”

“Donnarumma has a contract and we’d like a longer one to create a stronger future together.

“Ibra, on the other hand, is out of contract this summer and so these are very different discussions.”

Akin to Donnarumma, Hakan Calhanoglu’s contract also expires next season. Calhanogluhas been in fine form recently and Milan are in discussion with his agent to extend his deal.

“He has a year left on his contract, we are very happy with what he is doing and he’s been able to show his full potential this season. We are discussing the situation with his agent, too.”

AC Milan are in fine form and are unbeaten in 11 fixtures, jumping to sixth on the points table.
