AC Milan are reportedly interested in pursuing a deal for Sevilla’s Luis Muriel in the upcoming summer transfer window, claims Tuttosport
Upon the takeover of Li Yonghong in April 2017, Milan began a big summer recruitment process with the Chinese businessman providing the necessary funds to help the Rossoneri reclaim their place among Europe’s finest.
Under then-manager Vincenzo Montella, the club signed the likes of Nikola Kalinic and Andre Silva to bolster their attacking options.
However, both forwards have failed to make an impact at the San Siro this season with young Patrick Cutrone the only certainty at Milan for next season.
In light of this disappointing spell, Milan has decided to part with Kalinic in the summer.
But the Serie A side has decided to give Silva another chance for next season, given the fact that the Portuguese striker is only 22 and is therefore still young enough to turn his situation around.
Football-Italia reports that Tuttosport believes that Milan is considering summer bids for the likes of AS Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
However, the board have to take into consideration that they have no Champions League football for next season and will be facing a Financial Fair Play (FFP) sanction shortly.
Therefore due to the financial implications of signing the duo, Milan are now considering launching a bid for Muriel who has experience in the Serie A with both Udinese and Sampdoria.
