AC Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign Lille forward Victor Osimhen. This is according to a report coming from Italy.
Victor Osimhen continues to be in high-demand from a number of clubs. There is a strong likelihood he is leaving Lille this summer.
Over the past few weeks, Napoli are reported to be favourites to land the 21-year-old. Head coach Gennaro Gattuso has even had to respond to speculation linking the forward with a move to San Paolo.
On the path of Lille, they mention they have received offers for Osimhen but failed to mention any names. Although, the comments from the Les Dogues’ camp indicates they would be happy to sell their prized asset if a good offer comes in.
While Napoli continue to convince the striker to join them, they might have to ward off interest from a fellow Serie A side.
Football-Italia claim in an exclusive that AC Milan have also joined the race to sign Victor Osimhen.
The reported asking price for the Nigerian international is expected to be somewhere €50m. Milan might not be able to pay that much but might tempting Lille by offering a player plus cash deal.
Inter Milan recently dismissed claims they were linked to Osimhen and the report adds that it might have in fact been AC Milan instead. However, the report also stresses that Napoli remain favorites to sign the youngster.
It makes sense that the Rossoneri are in search of a forward given Zlatan Ibrahimovic is likely to leave this summer.
Elsewhere, the Milan outfit have also been linked to out of favour Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic.
Osimhen had a brilliant debut season with Lille and his European adventure looks set to continue somewhere else.
The question for now is who will sign the 21-year-old this summer? Let’s all wait and see.
