Traore is in the form of his life this season, as the Wolverhampton ace is in his full power, dominating the flanks of the Premier League.
The amazing form included a brace versus the current champions, Manchester City, as Wolves beat the Citizens 2-0.
His form hasn’t gone unnoticed. However, Traore ran out of patience in waiting for Spain call-up, so he decided to play for Mali, even taking a picture with a Mali shirt.
Traore gave an interview regarding the Mali national team.
“The truth is I’ve spoke with Mali, but I didn’t sign anything,” he told Express and Star.
“I’ve been in contact with them and they’ve shown interest. There has been a bit of confusion. I haven’t decided yet.”
Marca then had a big headline about Spain losing “one of the fastest and strongest players in the world”.
In the meantime, Spanish striker Rodrigo Moreno suffered an injury. This meant an open spot on the national team.
Robert Moreno then decided to call-up Traore.
Just spoke to Adama Traore. He's obviously delighted with Wolves' win. He also confirmed he has not properly agreed to play for Mali internationally over Spain. Says they have contacted him and shown interest, but nothing is signed and he's still to make concrete decision. #wwfc

It’s a stalemate now, with Adama being able to choose who he represents.
The winger did play for the Spanish national team in all the lower levels in the past.
