In his third spell in five years without a club, Emmanuel Adebayor could be about to lace up his boots one more time.
Remember former Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor? At the age of 35 and several months without a club, he may have finally found a new one.
Adebayor could well be plying his trade in Paraguay soon. Paraguayan club Olimpia have issued a promise to their fans.
If 20,000 members sign up over the upcoming weekend, the Togolese international will be putting pen to paper on a contract with them.
A player with a resume like Adebayoer’s has never been on the books at Olimpia. His aquisition would be regarded as massive to the club and the fans.
According to Goal, Olimpia president Marco Trovato told the clubs, current members, what could potentially happen.
“Tomorrow we can say ‘Here is Paraguay’s Olimpia fighting again.”
“If we wake up on Monday with 20,000 more members, Emmanuel Adebayor is going to be a new player of Club Olimpia and will be presented next Wednesday.”
