Barcelona is getting some free advice about the midfielder Arthur, and it’s not to sell the player if they don’t have to.
Barcelona signed Brazilian midfielder Arthur from Gremio in 2017 for 31 million Euros.
The player’s old boss Renato Portaluppi insists that if Gremio didn’t need the money he would have never let the player go.
Arthur has struggled for form since he arrived at the Camp Nou.
Much has been made about Barcelona’s need to generate funds, and it is believed that Arthur may be one of the first players out of the door.
While his old coach feels that moving to the Bianconeri is no step back for his former player, he insists the Catalonians should think carefully about the decision they make.
He told TuttoJuve:
“Arthur is a tactical player. Very intelligent.”
“He has great game vision, I feel like saying he is one of the best in his role.”
“I think Barcelona and Juventus are two great clubs on the world stage.”
“They are on the same level, have the same greatness and pedigree.”
“But if I could count on Arthur, I’d never want to sell him.”
“Unfortunately, Gremio was forced to sell because the money offered could not be turned down.”
Does Barcelona have other players that they should look to get rid of before dumping Arthur?
