Al Nassr 3-2 Al Shabab: Highlights as Ronaldo stunner keeps title charge alive

The Portuguese ace produced some familiar magic on Tuesday to complete a stunning comeback victory for Al Nassr at Al-Awwal Park.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s jaw-dropping goal sealed an amazing turnaround for Al Nassr, coming back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Al Shabab, 3-2, on Tuesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr’s title hopes were hanging by a thread early in the match. Al Shabab scored two goals inside 40 minutes, one of which was a penalty, courtesy of Cristian Guanca. But out of nowhere, Anderson Talisca scored just before half-time, giving the home team a glimmer of hope. That hope then turned into reality when Abdulrahman Ghareeb equalized in the 51st minute with a smooth finish. And finally, the icing on the cake, Ronaldo’s magic took over, with the captain driving past two defenders before scoring from the edge of the box.

CR7’s winner keeps title bid alive

Ronaldo blitzed past two defenders and fired an unstoppable long-range hit to seal the victory. The 59th-minute goal was the striker’s 14th in 15 league games. This vital strike has kept Al Nassr in the hunt for the Saudi Pro League title going into the final two games of the season.

The gap between Dinko Jelicic’s side and league leaders Al Ittihad remains three points after Romarinho’s ninth-minute goal sealed the latter a 1-0 win over Al-Batin on the same day.

CR7 and Al Nassr will be back in action this Saturday away to 10th-placed team Ettifaq in Dammam.
