The in house spat at Barcelona caused by the sporting director Eric Abidal is escalating as Jordi Alba backs Lionel Messi.
Eric Abidal and Lionel Messi’s public feud seems to be gathering pace. With the Argentine superstar appearing to have the majority of the backing. Now, teammate, Jordi Alba has backed his call for Abidal to shut up.
Abidal pubicly claimed that the players were not happy under former manager Ernesto Valverde. He also insisted because of this the players did not work hard enough.
Messi defended the player’s efforts and their relationship with their old boss. He told Abidal to name names or shut up.
Now in an interview reported by Goal, Alba has added to Abidal’s woes. Alba publicly backing Messi. Accusing the director of throwing “s**t” at his own team.”
“This club gets enough sh*t thrown at it from the outside so we shouldn’t be throwing sh*t at ourselves.”
