The Borussia Dortmund striker believes it would be better if Lionel Messi was not fit for Barcelona to play against his team on September 17.

Borussia Dortmund is set to host Barcelona on September 17 for the first Group Stage match of the UEFA Champions League.

And for Black and Yellow footballer Paco Alcacer, the best that could happen is if Lionel Messi was not fit for the match.

“It would be better for us, for Valencia in the next League match, for the next opponent,” he told Sport.

“It is clear that Leo gives a plus to the team that is not given by another player. Wait a few more days to return.”

Alcacer also spoke about Jadon Sancho: “He is a kid, he is 19 years old, perfect qualities, if he does not lose his mind, he will be a top player.”

“There is the uncertainty of age, but as a player and person in the locker room, it is top. If it improves and acquires other qualities, it will be one of the best in the world.”

And he had some time to speak about the Neymar Junior transfer saga: “I can’t get in there. We are players and all, except one who has been very lucky and has been in a club for many years, we have been transferred.”

“There is always uncertainty. From Neymar, I can say that he is a great player. I lived with him for a year. As a person he behaved very well, I have a very good relationship with him and wish him well.”
