According to the former Reds icon, the Crystal Palace footballer could be a great addition at Anfield Stadium for his ex-club.
There have been some rumors that Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha will move to another English Premier League club.
The Ivorian is on the radar of teams like Manchester United and Arsenal.
But Liverpool icon John Aldridge believes he can be a better addition to Liverpool, a team he has been very dangerous against in the past.
“Maybe they [Liverpool] should look into the possibility of recruiting Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, who is rumored to have made it clear he wants to move on to play Champions League football,” Aldridge was quoted by The Express.
“Zaha has given Liverpool some real problems in the last couple of years and Klopp’s ability to turn talents of his type into consistent performers has to make him the kind of player who could thrive at Anfield.”
But Zaha seems like he doesn’t want to leave Palace: “I’m proud to be from here and I’m glad that I’m still here because it’s like, I’ve reached my dream.”
“Obviously, there’s so much I want to do in football, but I’ve managed to become a professional footballer and I’m still in the area where I made it,” he added.
“I’m still around my people, still around my friends, so I feel like you can do it too, you know what I mean? That’s why I’m proud to be from here.”
“My dad had a stroke. He lived away from me, but as soon as he had a stroke it was an eye opener that I need to keep him close. He’s not as young as he was before,” he concluded.
