Liverpool legend John Aldridge is baffled by the form of Roberto Firmino and his lack of goals at home this season.
Roberto Firmino has been in decent form for the top of the table world champions Liverpool so far this season.
In fact, he has scored nine goals in total, of which seven have come in the league.
However, all his goals have come away from home. He has yet to score at Anfield in the 2019/20 season.
Speaking to the Irish Independent the former Liverpool man Aldrige is mystified by the Brazilians form.
“One mystery for me this season has been the form of Roberto Firmino and his goal added another layer to the confusion.”
“He has popped up with some of the most significant goals in Liverpool’s season.”
“The winners at Southampton, Chelsea and Crystal Palace, as well as scoring the goals that secured the FIFA World Club Cup.”
“Yet when I have watched him at Anfield this season, he has looked like a player horribly out of tune and struggling for confidence.”
“It was the finish of a striker who had full belief in his abilities.”
“I suspect that if the same chance came his way at Anfield, he may well have fluffed his lines.”
